history of photography
The history of photography has roots in remote antiquity with the discovery of the principle of the camera obscura and the observation that some substances are visibly altered by exposure to light. As far as is known, nobody thought of bringing these two phenomena together to capture camera images in permanent form until around 1800, when Thomas Wedgwood made the first reliably documented although unsuccessful attempt. In the mid-1820s, Nicéphore Niépce succeeded, but several days of exposure in the camera were required and the earliest results were very crude. Niépce's associate Louis Daguerre went on to develop the daguerreotype process, the first publicly announced photographic process, which required only minutes of exposure in the camera and produced clear, finely detailed results. It was commercially introduced in 1839, a date generally accepted as the birth year of practical photography. The development of photography was quite fast: since Niépce took the world's first photograph in 1826, it took only about 30 years for photograph became a product for mass consumption with the introduction of carte-de-visite. Before long, the world's first concealed cameras were introduced to help detectives document the dalliances of cheating spouses.
16th century-
In the 16th century the brightness and clarity of the camera obsucuras were improved by enlarging the holeand inserting a small telescopic lense.
17th century
Camera obsucuras were used frequently and also they were made portable
Joseph nicephore niepce
Joseph Nicephore Niepce was born on the 7th of March 1765 , and he died on the 5th July 1833. He was an French inventor, Niepce developed the technique of heliography. This technique was known as the most oldest surviving product of the photographic process. The first ever photograph was captured with a primitive camera. Joseph invented the worlds first internal combustion engine which he conceived and created with his older brother Claude. In 1816 he combined camera obsucura with photosensitive paper.

Johann heinrich schulze
He was born on the 12th of May 1687, and died on the 10th of October 1744. He was known as a German professor and polymath from Colbitz in the Duchy of magdeburg. Schulze was known for his discovery that the darkening sunlight of various substances mixed with silver nitrate is due to the light. He mixes chalk nitric acid and silver in a flask exposed to sunlight, this caused an accidental creation of the first photo sensitive compound.

1800th century
Thomas Wedgwood makes "sun pictures" by placing opaque objects on leather treated with silver nitrate; resulting images deteriorated rapidly however,if displayed under light stronger than candles. In 1888 the first ever Kodak camera was invented, containing a 20- foot roll of paper, enough for 100 2.5 inch diameter circular pictures. In 1889 the Kodak camera was improved by having a roll of film rather than paper.

1900th century
Kodak brownie box roll-film camera was introduced. In 1907 the first commercial color film, the auto chrome plates were manufactured by Lumiere brothers in France. In 1917 Nippon Kogaku K.K which eventually come Nikon this was established in Tokyo. Strobe photography was developed in 1931 by Harold Edgerton at MIT. By 1936 the development of kodachrome and the first instant color film developed by Polaroid, the first multi layered film was made with a 35mm single lens reflex camera. In 1959 Nikon F was introduced. The first addition of the editing app adobe photo shop 1.0 was released by 1990.
200th century |
Camera phones were introduced in Japan by Sharp/J-phone. In 2001 Polaroid went bankrupted. Canon Digital Rebel was introduced for less that $1000. In 2004 Kodak ceases production of film cameras. In 2005 Canon EOS 5D was the first consumer priced full frame digital SLR with a 24-36mm CMOS sensor for $3000. Cameras in 2016 are very modern.
