here are some pictures of their work
I like this picture because it shows a little girl running away from a dinosaur. I like the way that this picture has a small depth of field as they have only focused on the girl and dinosaur also they have blurred out all of the background. They have took this at worms eye view. His work effects my mood positively as it is creative and imaginative. This image makes me think of my childhood and of my younger sibling because she plays with things like this.

I like this picture because it represents Christmas and I think this is a good picture because of the focus point and it looks like Santa is coming to pick up present from the Argos truck, this picture is also taken from worms eye view. I find this image charming because it represents the festive theme of christmas. The atmosphere of this image is lively and productive as it shares a belief of Santa.
|
I like this picture because it is showing the story of the police man telling the old lady to stop protesting and the background is out of focus as it has a small depth of field. They have used a large aperture and a small F stop. This image is extremely powerful as it provides a message of war and poverty in society and how many people are standing up for their personal rights. The atmosphere of this image is morbid as it gives the impression as the police officer is going against the man protesting.

photography project
The simplest way to describe slinkachu is a London based artist who creates very short stories using photographs. He was born in 1979. He started his little people project in 2006. It involves remodeling and painting of miniature plastic model. It is both a street illustration project and a photography.
david gilliver
David Gilliver is a photographer who work in a similar style as Slinkachu. He graduated from the fine art photography course at the Glasgow school of Art in 2001. He didn't know what to take pictures of because he was spoiled by choice because of the surroundings of stunning scenery and tourist attractions in every single direct.
some of his PICTURES...
I like this image because it tries to show a story of the little miniature models grating the cheese like it is really hard work. I like how they have blurred the background out by using the small depth of feild and the exposure levels are correct. Th focus point has been set on the models and grater so they capture the viewer's eye.
|
I like this picture because I like how he has got the reflection, also i like how there isn't too much going on in this photo but it looks creative, fun and open minded. I like how they have tried to make it look like they have carved the pumpkin. The black contrasts with the bright orange pumpkin making it the main focus.
I like this photograph because it shows how hard they are working to try and open the bean and how they have opened it and how they are sweeping them up, also I like how the miniature model with the red helmet looks like he is giving instructions. This picture has used a small depth of field as the front models are in focus whilst the background is not. The reflection also creates a interesting atmosphere for the viewer. |
shoot 1 plan-
For my first shoot I will try to create the story of a murder scene. I am going to do this by a getting small sharp green pointy leaf and placing one of Slinkachu's miniature figure underneath the leaf, after that I am going to place another miniature figure at the end of the leaf to make it look like he was committing the murder. Next I will get some bright red paint and splashed it around the ground and I painted the stomach of the miniature figure being killed to get the impression that she was bleeding. Then I dipped the other miniature figure into the red paint to show that he was trying to get away after killing the young women.
best!
WORST! |
This is my favourite picture of the start of my story because of the exposure level and the angle that this photo has been taken at, also I like the focus point of this photo because it is very focused and it has got the background in focus and it is not blurred. This picture is taken at birds eye view.
This is my worst photo because it does not have the correct focus point. This photo has a slow shutter speed and the exposure is wrong on this picture because it is dark that means that it is under exposed. It is not taken from a specific angle and you cannot read the story what is happening. |
Walter martin and paloma munoz...
Walter Martin and Paloma Munoz are two photographer's very similar to Slinkachu. They create images set in a snow globe with the scary snowy backgrounds. They didn't really have much money between them thats when they came up with the idea of working together. Then they became best friends. They met in March 1993 in New York City.
here is some of his work...
I like this picture because it represents happiness and how the couple are happy. I like how how the background is blurred. The shutter speed is on a slow shutter speed because i can see how the snow is moving around
|
I like this photograph because everything is in focus and the camera is on a slow shutter speed to capture the movement of the snow floating around. This picture shows a small miniature figure trying to make a statue out of the snowy Rocky Mountains.
|
I like the effect of the ladies red long dress drifting along as she walks and also I like the fact that they have blurred out the trees in the background. They have used a slow shutter speed again to capture the movement of the snow and the exposure point is just right because it has got the dark background and the white in the snow.

shoot 2 plan...
For my second shoot I am going to try and a create scene of a man trying to turn on the light. I want to capture the image from different angles and I want to get the focus point on the man and the light.
best!
worst!shoot 3 plan... |
This is my best picture because I like the exposure level, also I like how the background is blurred out and the focus point is only on the man and the light switch. I like the angle that this photograph is taken at. This is my worst photo because it is all blurry and also the exposure level is incorrect because it is way too dark. The focus point is not right because it is not focusing on the man and the light switch is it focusing on the background which i wanted blurred but it is the other way around. |
For my third shoot I want to create the scene of a couple sitting inside of a flower. I want to capture the image from all different angles and I want the background to be blurred and the focus point to be just on the couple and the flower.
BEST!
worst!
final shoot plan-
For my third shoot I want to create a scene of two friends sailing. I am going to take the image from different angles and I am going to try and keep the whole image in focus and I am going to try and keep the exposure correct.
BEST!
This is my favourite picture because I like the angle which this image has been captured at. I like the exposure level because it is a little dark but not too much, also it is not overexposed or underexposed. I like how the focus point has not blurred the background out and that it is focused on everything.
worst!
This is my worst picture because the focus point is bad and the picture is all blurry, Also I don't like the angle which the photo has been taken at because it is taken from birds eye view but I wanted it to be taken from worms eye view.
Final piece
shoot 4 - plan
For my third shoot I am going get some slinkachu models and line them up in front of a post box, to make it look like they are queuing up and waiting in line. I am going to have my camera on manual therefore this will allow
Change the hue/saturation.
final piece
shoot 5-plan
For my final shoot I will line up some slinkachu models sitting down in the library.

Evaluation...
If I did this whole unit of work over again, I think that I would have pushed the boat out on my shoots and made them more of a challenge. After all of the research that I have done I have gathered many more ideas for other shoots. The work that I have already completed I am happy with it, But I know that it could have been better. The weather did ruin one of my shoots because it was too windy then it began to rain so I had to do my shoot in side. To improve my grade I am going to do another photo shoot.
